Bellarine Gateway Anglican Parish
Our parish is one of the larger parishes in the Geelong area and is
situated on the boundary between Geelong and the Bellarine
Peninsula. This parish has three centres, St Barnabas' in
Newcomb, St Mark's in Leopold and St Paul's in Whittington,
where people gather for Sunday services and a range of other
activities.
Our services reflect the diverse nature of the parish. We use A
Prayer Book For Australia at our 8.00 and 9:00 AM services but
alternate at our 10.00 and 10:30 AM services with a contemporary
liturgy. Our music is also a mixture of traditional and more
modern. If you would like to find out more about our church
services choose one of the links from the column on the left.
People from the parish work closely with the community in a wide
range of areas, providing a variety of activities and services to
help meet community needs. The links on the right give more
detail about this part of our purpose.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to enable individuals to
recognise and carry out their ministries as Christians.
Through this, we strive to become a model company of faithful
people who both honour their varied traditions and actively share
in building the family of Christ.
Parish Prayer
Lord you are in the midst of us and we are
called by your name. Guide us in our worship and life together:
transform us into whatever you would have us do. Help us to be
deeply connected with the world around us and strengthen us to
proclaim the good news in word and deed in this community, for the
glory and for the growth of your kingdom.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
